Why is there a Focus on African Americans?

Categorized as “Minorities” under the same grouping as women and people of color. Many times, African Americans are pushed down to the bottom of the pool and receive the least amount of consideration, funding, and focus, when it comes to opportunities. Understanding this dynamic, our goal is to help industry leaders and organizations recognize these biases, and work to create more inclusive practices within their company, by "being intentional" when it comes to marketing, hiring, promoting, developing, and maintaining African American employees, leadership, clients, and customers.  

AIREE membership is available to everyone that is licensed under the categories listed below.  We also welcome college students majoring in business, real estate law, economics, and trade

  • Appraisers

  • Architects

  • General Contractors

  • Engineers

  • Lenders (Wholesale, retail, and family offices)

  • Mortgage Brokers

  • Mortgage Loan Officers

  • Real Estate (Agents and brokers)

  • Title Specialist/Firms

  • Tradesmen & Women

  • Surveyors 

  • Corporate Partners (e.g., HBCUs, universities, technology, software, trade / license schools, construction, agriculture and farming (suppliers, licensing, lending, etc.), building suppliers, heavy machinery, real estate and mortgage brokerages, architect firms, banks, credit unions, builders, and developers).

As a corporate partner with AIREE, you will be supporting a community of Licensed independent African American real estate professionals, who over the years, have either been overlooked as vital contributors of the real estate industry.


  • Commit to invest 1.3% or greater of your net income, over a period of 23 years to multiple causes and/or organizations

  • Volunteer to become a Business Mentor with AIREE

  • Offer paid internships through AIREE ​​

  • Hire an AIREE Consultant to help your organization create a Diversity Team and to better meet the needs of your employees.

  • Provide additional grant and sponsorship programs within your own organization to tackle the issues of housing, job employment, education, access to technology, finances, and business opportunities in communities within a high population of African Americans and people of color.
